Written by Preston Choi and directed by Reena Dutt, THIS IS NOT A TRUE STORY unravels the history of Orientalist art, theatre, and the danger of fiction becoming reality. When the heroine of Madame Butterfly (Lisa Sanaye Dring as CIOCIO) completes her tragic suicide, she wakes up trapped in a never-ending loop of her story. Then Miss Saigon (VyVy Nguyen as KIM) is born, thrusting another heroine into the deadly cycle, until a mysterious office woman (Jennifer Soo as KUMIKO/TAKAKO) throws the world out of balance. (Also featuring Rob Nagle.)
